Activity Check & Rewards

Requirements

Please reply to the correct alphabetical top-level comment with a blank comment that has your name/handle in the subject line (you can post a blank comment by putting <*b> (without the star) or any other HTML tag in the body). Reply to your player comment with other blank comments that have your characters' names and their canon in the subject line. Each character should have a separate comment. Then, reply to that comment with your AC form. In order to be processed, AC must be delivered before the 5th of the month following the AC period you're checking in for.

Current AC Period: November & December Check-in
Threads must be started during the month of the current AC period (only threads from January will count for January AC) and can only be used once for activity. In the case of missing AC, a player may request a strike, and will need to supply regular AC plus one extra instance the following Activity Check. Players may not take a strike two months in a row.

Regular AC

Two of the following options must be turned in (can be the same one twice):

• An open top level in an event log
• Five log comments from your character
• An open network or log post from your character
• Ten network / private inbox comments from your character

New Characters
Check-in only. You may deliver any threads that you've done over the month in order to receive any of the benefits from the AC rewards, listed in the next section of this post. If you posted to the TDM prior to entering the game, you may submit those threads for AC rewards as well.

Hiatused Characters
Characters who have been on hiatus for two weeks or more will receive an AC pass, but you must check-in by linking your hiatus comment(s) in your check-in. Check-in must be done before the 5th or within five days of the end date of your hiatus. A proxy may check-in for you, provided you let the mods know that you will require proxy check-in prior to the AC period.

AC Rewards

For those players who help enhance the game, progress the metaplot, and keep everything moving, we have an AC Reward system in place. These rewards are specifically for tags posted to event logs (or to event-specific player logs) and bimonthly test drive meme — tags posted outside of the event period or tdm, while appreciated in their own right, do not qualify for AC Rewards. If you are using reward comments earned in the most recent AC period, please wait until that AC has been processed before requesting your reward! There are four different kinds of rewards a player can earn, for three different tag counts.

Ten comments to an event log or tdm earns a character a random, basic, single-use emotion tea. The Queen of Hearts appreciates your participation in her emotional experiments, and wishes for you to have this favour, to show her gratitude. The available teas are Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Lust. These teas are considered highly addictive by Wonderland natives, and as such characters who are awarded the same tea two reward periods in a row may be at risk of developing cravings for it. Further information, such as exactly how characters might react to their teas, will be provided when players request their teas during the AC period.

Fifteen comments to an event log or tdm earns a character an OOCly-chosen and ICly-random item from home. Items from home cannot be weapons, and must fit through the 4 ft by 8 ft mirror — no cars, no pets taller than eight feet, etc. If the mods deem an item too large to come through the mirror, players will be allowed to choose another item for their character to receive. More information about how characters receive these items will be provided when players request them during the reward period.

Twenty comments to an event log or tdm earns a character a random single-use superpower tea from the list of player character superpowers below. Players may request up to 3 superpower teas (per character) during each AC period. The Queen recognizes your emotional productivity, and wishes to grant you a boon — have fun with it, but not too much fun! After receiving a specific superpower tea once, players can request that same tea next AC period or opt for another randomization. Each power is temporary, unless one drinks the same tea three AC periods in a row, or a powered character is randomly given their own power, after which point the powers will become permanent. Use of more than one superpower tea at once or having a borrowed ability become permanent may result in characters being more susceptible to the hotel's influence! More information about these teas will be provided when players request the tea during the AC period.

Drinking the sadness tea will inspire a low level melancholy, of a type that may bring to mind the inspiration of wistful poetry, but will also turn to a deep, all consuming sorrow when prompted by anything that might normally make the drinker the smallest bit sad. The lust tea will cause a heightened awareness of the qualities that the drinker would normally find attractive or desirable in others, and prolonged interaction will make it difficult to focus on anything else. These emotions will last anywhere from a few hours to a few days.

The exception is demonic miracles; this has been received three times and is now permanent! It will be subject to the side effects of permanent ability use. If requesting another superpower tea at the next AC period, you may request the same powers if you choose.
