QUEEN OF HEARTS

Her Royal Highness, Queen Victoria Hart, also known as the Queen of Hearts, comes from a long line of Wonderlandian monarchs. Her grandmother was the queen who first began the practice of bringing Oysters to Wonderland for their emotions, but that is the only way in which Victoria plans to follow in her footsteps. Kind where her grandmother was cruel, empathetic where she was unfeeling, Victoria is beloved by her people. There's no one in Wonderland who doesn't adore her.

MAD MARCH

No one knows where Mad March came from or who he was before the accident that took his head. There are rumours that he was Queen Mary Hart's pet assassin, but that would be impossible — that would make him nearly two hundred years old. There are rumours, too, that he's Queen Victoria's assassin, as he was her grandmother's, but that's equally as impossible. What need has the most beloved of Wonderland's monarchs for an assassin?

CARPENTER

None of this would be possible without the Carpenter. He's the Queen's most valuable asset, the one she would protect above all others — he's the only one who knows how to turn the Oysters' emotions to tea, how to put a man back together after he's been cut into pieces, how to manipulate the Oysters' emotions so the Queen can collect what she needs from them. No one sees the Carpenter, but everyone speaks of him with reverence. He makes all of this possible, after all.

AGENT WHITE

There are many Agents White working under the Queen now — where her grandmother focused on one North American city, Victoria pulls in Oysters from across the multiverse, and one rabbit can only do so much. The head of the White Department is the foremost Agent White, the one the Queen is most likely to be referring to, and the orchestrator of the Oyster-gathering endeavours of the other agents. She tells them where to go and when to strike.

ORDER OF CLUBS

The Order of Clubs are the Queen's enforcers, there to pacify Oysters through force or intimidation as necessary. Although a necessary evil when some of your Oysters don't want to play nice, the Queen keeps the Order reluctantly. This would all be so much easier if the Oysters would accept their new lives. She does so hate to use the Order.

ORDER OF SPADES

No one knows what the Order of Spades does. No one is entirely certain they're even real — but then, if there is an Order of Clubs, so must there be an Order of Spades, right?

HAPPY HEARTS HOTEL STAFF

Happy Hearts staff are the various native Wonderlanders who work in the hotel and casino to make a living. They're pleasant in the way all customer service representatives are pleasant — impersonally and disinterestedly. They have no interest in helping the Oysters beyond the parameters of their duties as hotel staff.
